A Strategy That Favors The Seller
It is a universal desire to sell your house for a fair price.
Unfortunately, the real estate industry is buyer-centric rather than seller-centric. Which means that most sellers take a long time selling their houses to buyers at a big discount.
Proof of the buyer-centric bias is found in the standard purchase agreement which permits a buyer to walk away from the deal for almost any reason but binds the seller securely.
A glance at how homes for sale are advertised further confirms the bias toward buyers. Modern day real estate advertising is designed to help buyers eliminate houses without the need to actually see them. By eliminating houses to be shown the agent can work less. A good thing for buyers’ agents, but not for sellers, because very few people buy a house without physically seeing the house.
A Sellers Agent’s job is to attract as many people into your house. The odds of falling in love with your house are many times more probable while standing in your house than looking at a small photo of it on the internet.
